Sofia will be under a noise attack this weekend - on Saturday we will be able to see the Greek post-hardcore/ sludge/ crust gang Autumn Acid, together with the local heroes Feedbacker and Razvrat i Pokvara.
Then on Sunday the Swiss noise master Dave Phillips will held a live performance at the Czech Center, supported by |14| and a collaboration set by kràllàr and Mytrip.
Autumn Acid are formed in 2015 in Thessaloniki (we have a special sentiment for this city's musical life at ATO), as some of the band's members take part in other booking and activist collectives. Their dark and uncompromising sound can be experienced best live, and this is very obvious in 'Doublethink':
Feedbacker are a noise-rock duo from Sofia, which usually takes our heads when playing live. Their music is filled with heavy bass riffs through effects and even heavier drum beats.
Ivan Shentov's lyrics are a true heir of another local cult hero's poetry, Dimitar Voev (New Generation), while Dessi's feminine presence behind the drum kit is a fine glare. Hear their self-titled debut EP:
'Razvrat i Pokvara' ('Lewd & Depraved') is a DIY hardcore-punk band from Sofia, formed in 2008.
They have recorded so far the EP 'The Dead-End Street' and bad rumour has it that this could be their last gig - we hope its not true!
The concert will happen on 20th May, Staurday at Underground Gallery/ Studio - the start is 7PM, the entry is a free donation (which doesn't means free!). Support your local scene and just be there!
