Hey! It's yours truly, one and only and of course amazing, Mr. C.
As always with me you'll feel better than poppin' a dozen vitamin C pills.
Satisfaction guaranteed. If not than there's something wrong with your head and not mine.
Off to go with this week's concert by Prague based ska collective Discoballs.
Prior to the concert I downloaded their 2008 debut album "DiscoVery Channel" for free from their website. The album contains 15 great tracks some of which worth mentioning includes "Hey! Boy", "Ska Soul", "Melody", "Soulsteady", "Teenage Drama" and of course the great rendition of Johnny Cash' "Ring Of Fire". Now if all of these sound good on record imagine how they sound in live.
I have to admit that although I had big expectations I was not disappointed. Discoballs are one super-energetic band consisting of seven dudes and a gal that plays a wonderful combination of ska, swing and soul. And the chick was dine :-D
What else can I say about it. Lots of ska, sweat, smiles and pogo (although the last is not meant for ska concerts). Damn, those czechs were good. It sucks that all good things end eventually. All we can do for now is to wait. Who knows, maybe there'll be another concert.
