On 1st of March (Wednesday) an intriguing event will happen - first screening for Bulgaria of the audio art documentary 'Reverberation/ Poglos' and live performance of the Lithuanian sound artist Arma Agharta - all this thanks to a collaboration between Amek Collective and Crooked Cinema.
The movie 'Reverberation/ Poglos' is an audio art documentary, consisting of five parts, as each part introduces a different audio performance that took place in the suburban locations of Silesia, Poland. The no audience concerts were performed in locations of unknown status, which had interesting natural reverberation or were able to add a different context to the sounds, produced on the spot. The aim of the project was to look for new contexts of marginal sounds; it's five segments tell the story of man, dealing with the territory. Directed by Radek Sirko, the documentary features performances of Vilgoc, Purgist/ MAAAA, Rez Epo, MCHY I POROSTY and Micromelancolie.
Watch the trailer below:
Arma Agharta or Armantas Geciauskas is a sound performance artist and curator from Lithuania, who's live shows stand between musique concrete and DIY shamanism. Odd costumes and gestures work along with serious live electronic soundscapes, improvised with soviet vintage electronics, acoustic objects and circuit bent gear.
Arma has played in Sofia last year, again thanks to Amek, as part of their Noisy Sundays gig series, so we can't wait to hear what he has cooked for us this time.
