Now, here's something that you can't hear everyday. Punk from India. And when I say punk, I really mean punk. The Riot Peddlers formed in 2010 are a three-piece punk band from Mumbai. I knew for quite some time but honestly haven't listened to them since I first heard them back in 2010. Apparently between now and then they managed to release a debut EP, Sarkarsm, which is surprisingly good and are being included in an Indian punk compilation called Disenfranchised In India, which is about to be released. The Sarkarsm EP is definitely worth listening if you're into old-school punk like Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys and the likes. It's quite good and I honestly like it. Best of all it's free.
